Evaluation

The Fairwinds Treatment Center’s eating disorders programs are individualized and start with garnering a robust and comprehensive understanding of the individual and his or her needs. Each eating disorder treatment program begins with an in-depth and comprehensive bio-psycho-social evaluation. The evaluation entails the questionnaires for the Eating Disorders International Database, which includes the Eating Disorder Questionnaire, EDE-4, EDI-2 and SF 36. Clients also complete the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), the Yale-Brown-Cornell Eating Disorder Scale (YBC-EDS), the Bond Defense Style Questionnaire (DSQ) and the Guilt Questionnaire. In addition, a complete psychiatric history, including educational assessment for adolescent development history, mental status examination, medical history, physical examination and anthropometric evaluation, is obtained.
